Cabin Fever 2024
« on: December 28, 2023, 02:21:35 PM »
Cabin Fever 2024 is fast approaching. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone. I will be there at the start of setup on Thursday Jan 11th.  I hope to get the same spot as many other years. Let us know if you need space held as it fills quick. Look forward to another great show.

I will be there, as always.
My engines are getting tuned up and rebuilt as needed for the show.
I'm looking forward to seeing some of you there.
 Safe travels.

I wasn't aware of the dates until I got an email on Thursday.  I had already booked a trip to Las Vegas from Atlanta for the following Tuesday, but I decided to fly up through BWI on Friday, and then fly direct to LV on Sunday morning.  I should get to the show mid-afternoon Friday.  Looking forward to seeing people.

I plan on being there Saturday.  As usual, due to my job, it will all depend on the weather.  So far this year it has been very mild.  I only require one table and two chairs.

I hope to see all of you this year.  I’ll will update, based on the forecast, if I can attend as we get closer to the date.

I am planing to be there. (Like Bob said, weather dependent). Hope to be there by noon Thursday. December has been extremely mild in Northwest Missouri also.

I started going to this show when it was still located in Leesport, PA.

The last time I attended this remarkable event, Fred Eisner was there selling odd chunks of metal and tooling for lathes, old-school gents: Mr. Upshur, Ray Hasbrouck, Rudy Kouhoupt, and Roger and his son, were selling casting kits (Pearl Steam Engine) and the dozens of other talented model-engineers showed off their steam engines, Debolt Machinery, and Jerry Howell showed off their new engine releases..... and I was 20+ years younger, and didn't mind driving for 100+ miles each way.

Things change.

It was a great show. It was good to see and talk with people.
Dinner Friday night was nice too, for my buddy and I.

Got some good buys on a couple of Buck six jaw chucks and Hardinge step chuck closers.

My first times were down is Leesport too. The blue haze from the engines running was pretty thick!

Thanks guys!

Sid

Yall, I'm happy to see it was a great show. So, for some of us too far away to attend, could someone please share some pictures of the displays. Glad to see the hobby doing well.
