Hello,
the feed pump on my stuart 5a had a problem with the ball valve.
The valve on the suction side wasn't really tight. So I had to disassemble everything to see any error. It was probably a dirty seat for the bullet. I cleaned it and readjusted the screw for the ball. If it still doesn't work, I'll have to make new bushings for the balls. All bronze bushings are interchangeable. The housing is made of brazed brass. It's a different type of pump for the Stuart 5a and I built it from a 1902 blueprint. It is a blueprint for an original steam engine.
The piston has a diameter of 12 mm and a stroke of about 16 mm. I don't know if it's similar to the original Stuart pump on the 5a.
But she pushes good water into the boiler.
The bypass valve is behind the pump.
