That is a truly wonderful sawmill model. It seems to be in very good company as well, from the look of that engine yard!

That is a fantastic achievement. Of particular interest to me because I have a full size Kirchner (Leipzig Germany) Horizontal Frame saw which is circa 1910. Kirchner also made a vertical machine similar to your model.

I donot know the maker of the original. The engine is build in 1934 and my assumption is that the manufacturer is Esterer, because this company is in the same region than the sawmill.
The engine was finally shut down when one feed roller broke down.

The saw mill is a beautiful piece of model engineering, and makes a very unusual display piece, and of course fascinating to see when set to work.  Dave

I was looking at what has been going on in my absence and came across this model.
I have to say it is excellent, and works very well.
