Title: Uniflow Engine
Post by: gary.a.ayres on July 14, 2021, 11:28:01 PM
A simple uniflow engine based on a design by Stan Bray.

The mechanical design follows SB's original plans scaled up to x3.5, but much of the layout and appearance of my version are my own.

Hi Gary Great to see the finished project in the showcase.

Interesting strobe effects on the flywheel as speed varies.

With all those bolts in the flywheel, it would be a great platform for some balancing experiments!

Well done on the artistic adaption of the original design.

Gary:

Very nice engine, great job. It has a bit of steam-punk flavor which I really like.

Thanks.

Stuart, Don and Hugh - thank you very much.

@Hugh - yes, I do like to punk the steam from time to time!  ;)
