Mill/Drill Stand

I have a Jet round column mill/drill that works fine, but I am somewhat concerned about the stand that it came with.  As you can see the stand is made of aluminum pipe with a couple of boards across the top with the Mill on top of that.  I have notice a bit of vibration and have been thinking a stouter stand or base might be in order.   The current stand is also a bit wide.  I would love to hear recommendations or perhaps see some pics of what you are using to hold up similar type machines.
