Bremen Walking Beam Hot Air Pumping Engine

Hi Guys

Here is a short video of a Bremen hot air engine that my late friend Max built some years ago. I ended up with four engines from Max's collection and this is one of them. I just completed some repairs on the pump and was giving it a test run.
These castings are from Brad Smith and Max got them from me, I still have the other version of the Bremen engine castings that I will build some day.
YouTube in all there infinite wisdom decided that this video need to be a Short becasue it was taken in portrait mode. >:(

What a fabulous engine it looks incredible and runs almost silently. I only noticed the writing across the beam when I watched it for the second time!  :popcorn: :ThumbsUp: :ThumbsUp:

About the only noise that it makes is the check valve plate in the pump piston. It is a small plastic disc that moves up and down each stroke, that is the rhythmic noise that you hear if you turn up the volume. The video makes it seem louder than it actually is.

Of course, it's a short. After all, it's almost 3 minutes long...  :-\
I used to think shorts were any video in portrait mode, and less than a minute in length.  Clearly, the length is not a determining factor.  At least, not the one minute thing.  Maybe 3 minutes?  But I can say, I've never had it make a landscape video a short   :-\

Youtube defines a 'short' as anything thats tall/narrow, time does not enter into it (anymore anyway, I think it did originally). I find it annoying how they classify things.
