Steam engines in Eslohe, Germany.

I attended a steam engine event today at the Steam Engine Museum in Eslohe, Germany. Many engines were set in motion by steam. There were also several model steam engines on display. It was about 400 kilometers away from me, but it was well worth the trip.

Fantastic to see all the engines, big and small looking so good and running great. Definitely worth the visit with such a large and diverse collection, thanks for uploading

Fascinating variety of engines there!  I really like the oiler post off the crank pin at 4 minutes in, and interesting to see that the engine is set up for another cylinder, but facing the opposite direction though not installed, at 5 minutes in. Never seen one set up that way! The croodile-jaw style paper cutter later on too!  The side lever engine starting at 19:50 is VERY similar to the engine from the Great Western steamship, though of a smaller original engine. It even has the cam in the center of the crankshaft for the cutoff lever, though the G.W. had a row of cams for different settings. Excellent day out at the show!

Thank you for the information, Michael. I hadn‘t been to this museum yet, so I decided to have a visit .  I was surprised to see so many engines in steam, obviously well maintained. An excellent collection of different engines, well presented. It was worth going (only 100 km for me).
