Good news, my first order shipped with all items and if I'm lucky I'll get it on Saturday! It appears Kat is working through the immense backlog. The reason I want a 4 jaw scroll chuck is specifically for holding small square stock which is a pain to dial-in. While sometimes you can hold this shape in a regular collet, you have to be careful not to get a corner of the stock stuck-in a collet slot and that will be really tough with the ER16 collets setup I will be using for the Sherline. Obviously hex stock can be held in the 3 jaw. For the SB I have hex and square collets but they very rare in the small WW sizes that the Sherline uses and I really don't want to get into another collet system anyway. I do have a small independent 4 jaw chuck setup as a revolving tailstock chuck for the SB which could easily be removed and adapted, but any kind of offset work (like eccentrics) would almost certainly be done with the 6" 4 jaw chuck in the SB anyway. The sale was yesterday but it seems they still kept a lathe and a fellow is working on producing WW collets, apparently just for existing orders, which I found interesting.
