The transmission is a model in itself. I was thinking of making a 1/3 scale model of the back of the block and and an operating transmission. For those not familiar with a T transmission they were an early planetary gear set driving brakeable drums. You pushed the appropriate pedal, it would squeeze a band around a drum thereby stopping it's rotation and causing one of the other planetary drums to rotate. 2 forward speeds and 1 reverse with a brake drum. Quite the engineering project for its day.

Following along with interest.

Seems like I saw a recent video of a modern racing transmission that uses planetary gears.
I will have to look for that.

Very nice result from your refining of the information to reproduce an accurate engine model.  Just now, I'm reading a book about the Model T, by a British guy who crossed most of America driving a 1924 model, did the trip in 2017, and his interesting experiences in getting to grips with the transmission, and configuration of the T's controls ..  He had a lot to learn, quickly !   Dave
