Did a bit more work shaping the ends of the connecting rod but I'm not greatly enamored with these chunky ones, might redo them somehow. I know what I'd like them to be like but making them without a milling machine or vertical slide would be a bit too tedious!
Drilled some holes in the flywheel, made a new screw to hold the valve rod to the lever, shortened and silver soldered the two crank pins, shortened the crank axle and removed thread from crank disc to rely on grub screw only. The main bearing seemed ok when I made it but probable burrs from the grub screws when inserting and removing the axle seem to have made it loose and, as I couldn't come up with an easy way to replace the button head screws with the equipment at hand, I made a new super chunky bearing from some hex scrap, making it extra wide so the flywheel clears those screws. The original bearing was also pretty short considering the duty put upon it.
Once those changes were made it runs on almost nothing, it'll also go slower than shown here but tends to stall after a while, more running will probably fix that. Just the little wooden base to go and that's about it.

You can do quite a lot with work held in the tool post and a milling cutter in the lathe chuck if you don't have collets
