I would hope to be able to do one day. I could bring the Redwing which hopefully will be finished. My others are not ICE, if you are happy with these then I could possibly bring a Alyn Foundry Robinson Hot Air and a CHUK2 flamelicker and Stuart 10V.

The only possible issue that would prevent me being there is just last Friday having been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, I could be having treatment.  Currently have no timescales for this.

Good to have you onboard. But sorry to hear about the 'Old man's problem' down below.

The plan is to make this the MEM table top display area and not limit it to the 'i/c engine group'. So 'bring what you built'.  i/c engines, steam engines, workshop tooling; completed or work in progress.

A V12 is an ambitious undertaking, lots of repetitive cylinder and valve gear stuff. CNC will be a great help with that.

The crankcase fixture looks good and robust, a sound basis for accurate work. Will the crankcase fixture also double up for the crankshaft?

Hi Everybody,
as already mentioned earlier, a V12 designed by M.Ohrndorf will be my next challenge.
When I have started model engineering in 2008 or 2009 my dream was to build a V8 or V10 some day.
Now some years later I feel good to start such a project.
In 2008 it has been the book of Mr. Schillings, which was the one day model I have been focused on.
After some years passing now, I have changed my mind, because this Schillings or Luther V8 or V10 does hide all the moving parts inside and under covers.
Only visible action is a ruining belt.
Totally different, the design of Mr Ohrndorf.
The engine is air cooled and all the rockers, springs and  push rods are visible in their motion.
So it will be a V12 instead of a V8 or a V10.
It took some time to check, if my machines will be able to cover all the necessary operations, but it seems to match.
It will be tight but I am full of hope.

      
I assume the Jackie Gleason was in reference to the Gleason Works company, which has long made gear cutting machinery for industry? I never did get in for a factory tour, here near downtown Rochester.

Re who invented gear hobbing - it was either Jackie Gleason or Calvin Hobbes , I think....
