I spent the weekend in Norwich and today split from the family and went to the Forncett Steam Museum. It is located in the middle of nowhere down lanes which are wide enough for one vehicle. I was the only person there today so had a tour accompanied by a gentleman in his 80's who had worked there for over 40 years and had reassembled many of the engines on display as they had been brought to the museum. I highly recommend a visit as it has some wonderful items including the spare engine from Tower Bridge which they managed to acquire in 1976.

Here's an interesting V4 uniflow engine and designer/engineer was asked if he could build it to fit in a Rover car. ..........he could but worked at such high pressures that couldn't fit/work with a condenser

Hi Sanjay I live in Norwich and I go to the Model engineers day in October with other exhibitsrs displaying our engines and other models...ionteresting place and it is run by Roan and he had to construct the large buildings around the engines after they were rebuilt. the engines run on an old Cochran boiler once a month..This was me with my models at last years event......wearing my scarf !!

Hi Sanjay, just got the new pics and the unpainted bronze engine to the left in the picture is my currant triple expansion Botan, Bertinat engine that should refinished this year ?!!!
