Hi Chris, those are really nice projects. The Gothic-style machines look great.
I’ve also toyed with the idea of ​​building just a governor on its own. With a crank attached, it would be a great way to demonstrate how it works.
I actually have a set of plans for an original governor—someone measured the real thing and drew up all the parts. There are a lot of individual components, each drawn on a separate sheet of paper.

Hi Willy, the drawings are definitely typically German. I had never taken a close look at all the drawings for the regulator before, but there is a table of contents; the regulator tip is part number 17, and there is a corresponding sheet 17. I just need to get started now........🤔.
