My absolute best tool score was buying this Nippon Kogaku (Nikon now) 6C shadowgraph. 3 days of clean up and it works like new. 10x, 20x and 100x eyepieces.
Oh yes, I remember seeing devices like that down on the factory floor years ago!

Don, your UPT build had inspired me to make one as well. I started building the pipe-fitting version but then won a fully built from castings one at an auction. What a wonderfully useful piece of kit. Driling, staking, letter puching, tapping are all a pleasure now.

Dang it Don, that engine is beautiful. You have to get back into making chips! We would like to see more of this type of work.

Am I too late? Just passing the door by accident and looked in! What have I been missing!

Here is my lock-down project, a Westinghouse cross-compound air compresser to 1.5" scale for my next locomotive (Jo raises eyebrow...)

The design is by Dan Miotti and published on line. It is truly an exercise in precision hole drilling to get all the ports in the right place but works well and I am very pleased. Just needs finishing off now.

What a great show. Thanks to the Team for organising it!

Glad you made it into the show in time - I've been looking into a similar water pump, those mechanisms for the valving are fascinating. Great model!

Old Bill: I Googled up Dan Miotti and came up empty...

Can you provide a link to his plans??

Beautiful pump! Just like one I'd like to have...

Thanks,
Pete

Hi I love this tool ..great for looking at the 400 BA screws..  I am always a bit disappointed when I magnify my own photos as every blemish is seen !,  usually when it is too late...!! So .the show is nearly over ..wonderfull stuff and lots of these other models seem to be way beyond my limited skills...!

Another day of stunning models - Wow ...!

And I can for a fact say that Ramons nice pictures of his plastic models DO NOT do them justice !!!!
This makes me think on how many other of the fine displays (and thank you all for the great stories too) where the same can be said about .... probably a good high number ....
If only we all had the possibility 'to see them in the flesh' so to speak.

Best wishes

Per

Hey,
Everyone has some great stuff! Kim I saw your rocket Stubby yesterday. Today I realized it reminds me of the space ship on the cover of an Andre Norton novel.
