A special thank you goes out to George Britnell for the idea of doing this.    It's a great idea, and the team here at MEM obviously agrees!

Thanks George!

A couple of boxes of cookies and a bribe, and Surus let me in the back door of the arena to claim a table!    :paranoia:

The shop elves are very excited about the show, they have been cooped up with me for so many months now, not sure if they will come back after being set free - going to leave out some extra plates of chocolate chip cookies as a bribe, and put maps home in their backpacks....

Chris,
What a fantastic stand of your models.  Well worth the entrance price to the show..   Hope you managed to round up the shop elves

Gen and I will be displaying on our table something different each day.  My stuff includes models under way and finished.  I will be showing them as I do at shows.  Gen usually has some small display and is always working on a project while at the table.  We both get lots of questions from the public and that along with not seeing our friends is what we really miss this year.  Especially the younger crowd as they are very inquisitive and ask questions their parents would not even ask though they wanted to ask the same question.  As we said in the video - on with the show.

Today is steam Engine Day

On the left is my small collection of steam engines.  From left to right is Stuart #9, you guessed it – a Sirius, and a Coles Scotch Yoke.   Gen has a collection of “toy” steam engines, over 140 of them, as well as their accessories.  Here are a few of them a Falk, a Weeden Steam Roller, Krauss Boat Swing, Weeden Traction Engine, a Doll Twin Cylinder, and a Bing Cobbler.  Many of us got our start in model engineering with "toys" like these.
