Table Top Rally of Alyn Foundry engines
« on: April 16, 2020, 05:47:17 PM »
Lovely weather so I ran four of my Alyn Foundry engines on a table this afternoon.

Here's a YouTube video <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUBpmUVVNKs" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUBpmUVVNKs</a>

The table is a re-purposed gate and wasn't sufficiently rigid but it saves me getting down to floor level  :old:

Carrying the engines is also an issue, they seem to have become heavier since last year.

Lovely Andy.

I think you're going to need a larger platform for next year eh?

Cheers Graham.

Hi a Graham, yes indeed next year the IF Allman should be in the line up. Unfortunately the slight breeze prevented my Chuk running outdoors today.

Another firm worth trying for the Clarkson compression sleeve is Rotagrip in Hockley, Birmingham. They happen to be selling some C type collets on eBay at the moment. On eBay their name is fordeight.

Really enjoyed your engine show Andy! Hope the gate fee for using the gate wasn't too high.

Well done. It was a special treat for me, as I'm several thousand kilometers from the UK in Canada, and couldn't have ever made it in person anyway.

You have a some great runners there.

Thanks for the responses, I'll try to put more out on the lawn next time.
Lets have some more videos of our model engine rallies.

Does this count Andy?

Still an " unknown " make despite there being at least 3 other survivors.

The engine is around 1/2HP running on Propane with Hot tube ignition.
