Thanks all ,, besides getting back on the duplex feed pump one of the next things will be building a modified Crueby rivet squeezer.. after some back and forth with the master himself decided one could be made to meet the needs,, small brass rivets but many.. and a 6 inch reach.. the outer stack on the boat would have been a a 6ft brass sheet rolled to size with the seam riveted every couple of inches (lots) scaling it gives me a 12inch pipe to make about 2.45" in diameter.. a big for my shop slab of steel has been ordered and the plans for the squeezer have been drawn to meet the needs..the boiler shell will also have quite a few rivets so the new tool will get a work-out
Pretty slick! I've seen setups like that on car shows, but they did it with very large hydraulic presses/rollers.
