The height adjuster has to pass through a 5mm bore so I was going to make the screw and locknut from 4mm hex steel. I then found that I didn’t have any so on with plan b. A standard M2 nut has a 4mm hexagon so I clamped one in the chuck, using an M2 screw to ensure it was square, drilled it out 2.5mm and tapped M3. I had some M3 x 8mm caphead screws with a thin head so I turned one down to 4.7mm to allow a little clearance.
This seemed to work and I could set the 6mm pump tappet flush with the pump base.
