Roger B:
Thank you Per

I had seen both videos and have started a gap analysis with my previous 20cc four stroke diesel. The thread is here:

Roger B:
The next stage is to make the various cover plates so I can seal the crankcase and check the scavenge pump works.

The 3mm thick cover plates for the pull rods could be cut using the Proxxon saw. These are over length so they can be machined to length after they are fixed to the two pieces of the cylinder block.

I had previously made the rear cover plate so I finished the drilling and tapping of that before moving on to the front and end plates. At 5mm thick these needed to be milled to size which is a little tricky as they are right on the limit of my milling table.

Roger B:
The end plate needs a 45mm diameter hole for the bearing support and to allow access to the injector cam. As usual I removed as much as I could with a hole saw before boring to size. I started the hole saw with the drill bit in the centre and removed it as soon as I had a ring cut so I didn’t drill into the milling table.
