A simple Z Axis DRO for my EMCO FB2
Back from holidays and champing at the bit! However, I thought I'd do a few little jobs to get me back in the swing of things before I do anything serious!
I've owned a decent 3 axis DRO for some years now, but never bothered with the Z axis encoder as at the time it was too much of a pfaff to set it up. However, I had this self contained unit I bought for the quill, but it was never really useful so I stuck it in a drawer and forgot about it. Until now, when I had this bright idea...
The gadget can be positioned anywhere on the column, giving me lots of tool movement between positions. Well chuffed!
