Looks like a very nice summer house to enjoy our English "Sunshine" in   :)

Mike

I trust you have not blocked the hedgehog hole in the fence.

AVTUR

Ha ha, the hedgehogs still have an unobstructed 18 inch wide race track all round the back and sides.

Mike

Can't have too many Hedgehogs in the garden they do a grand job

Nice one Mike, and it's always good to earn a few extra brownie points from Senior Management - who's looking well pleased with her new shed summer house

Very nice Mike - it looks like you put even more effort into hers than yours  :praise2:

Always a good feeling when your work is appreciated by the person / persons that it was made for, and I too think that the smile says it all

The butterfly is a nice touch too

Don't know about anyone else but I'm melting in this heat, it's just so hot and airless.  Did two easy hours in the garden yesterday morning, before the midday heat, nothing at all strenuous, and that wiped me out for the day.  And today, all power from the legs gone!

It's a sad state of affairs when you actually enjoy having to take SWMBO shopping so you can cool down going around Waitrose.

Yes it is horrible.  All the insects in the garden seem to be short of fluid, especially the horse flies  :paranoia:  The workshop isn't much better  :ShakeHead: It was 25 degrees in there first thing so I had to air it to try to cool it down and then could only cope with an hour or so before having to abandon it for the house.

As for the garden: The onions are useless this year (again), Beetroot is doing ok, Courgettes have been struggling with the damp weather for the last two months and the potatoes are small

The nice man from Waitrose delivers for me  ;)

Don't talk to me about horse-flies, 20 years ago one put me in hossie with blood poisoning, nearly cost me my right leg, only by increasing the meds they were injecting into me to double max dose at 4 x max frequency, or vice versa, memories a bit hazy now, did they stop the spread.  Still have scars to this day.

Stuff is growing now, or some of it is, but been a bit of a disappointment, most stuff way behind, but early new pots being lifted now, very sweet too.

Nice folk from Waitrose usually deliver to us too but having been away we lost a slot so had to manually do the Waitrose bit, but nice cold Snickers and Magnums made it through the checkout - I've NO idea how they got in the trolley, the little people from my shed must have helped when we weren't watching..........

Hi Jo,

Surprised at your lack of success as I thought that you had green fingers.

On my allotment the onions are great and have just been lifted for drying, together with shallots and garlic, the spuds have huge hams and the potatoes are lovely, the only thing not successful so far this year is carrots and beans, but everything else is grand.

Will take some phots to post on here but agree that it is so hot in the shed and the greenhouse.
