Rod I believe I have the same controller.  The kiln has a Type J thermo couple installed in it but I will change it to a Type K to get the 2300 degree F range. The useful range for the J is about 1600 degrees F.

Those look to be promising Tjark and I do apologize for not responding to your comment. All you should need with these are the SS Relay with them to control the heaters and thermocouple of coarse.

Don, you don’t have to make apologies , we have not always an answer to questions and not always the time.
Otherwise you will have no time left to spent in the shop.
I have ordered the complete kit.
The only thing I have to change is the thermocouple and luckily I have some in the workshop.
The picture shows the complete kit.

The parts arrived and I decided to complete the modification to the oven. I left the original controls as is and just tapped into the main line to control the temperature. I test the temperature with two different instruments I had and both showed the controller to be spot on. So some clean up and a little painting and the over is complete.
Some photos for you.
