So is that why the Mercedes is on the backburner Mike ...?

Don't get me wrong - I do enjoy seeing a Radial

Hello Per,

Radial engines are my first and only true love.

The Mercedes is only a V8. mmmmmmmmm The two stage supercharger was the attraction for choosing that particular engine. BTW I have returned to work on the Mercedes and it's progressing.

Cheers

Mike

Ove,
Great work on the Hodgeson radial. Glad to see you back at work on it.

Sorry mike I just have to throw this in. Real engines are round unless of course it is an Ariel square four.

An interesting engine. I will have to catch up on the blog during the next cold spell (starting tomorrow).

Art - I partly agree with you - real, real, engines are round but they don't have pistons. As for geared motorcycle engines, the Vellocette Roarer if it had been used.

There is no such thing as a stupid question.

Sorry Ove if we're kind of hijacking your nice thread - please do not be discouraged by this, as we love to see your fine build

Well this kind of explains why you choose that particular tracked Vehicle (Tank) you did as your first (shown here some months back)  ;D

Nonetheless I'm glad to hear that the Mercedes get some more attention - particular since you got so far as you did. I do understand the amount off work included in writing a build log - but please from time to time just post a few pictures off your progress ....

Camm-

Beautiful work.  You have my admiration, it would take me an entire lifetime to complete such a build.

It's not even completely assembled and it's already looking impressive - nice oil rings too  :praise2:
