Ahh now you got me.
As i am in the UK i dont know anything about your loco's so i come at this with a lot of naivety :-).
Earlier in this thread i read about the rear and from frames being too long due to carrying handles or something like that, and it was mentioned that the frames could do with being shortened, but as my book has not arrived yet i dont really know if i will need to leave them long :-)
So many questions and i haven't even started.

There was a significant design mistake in the original version published in the Live Steam magazine. The front frame was simply too long. I do not recall that it had anything to do with carrying handles. Kozo simply mixed up his notes (or something) when designing.
This was corrected early on, and I am sure the books do not have that problem.

Well worth checking this site out, they have a list of mistakes and fixes for Kozo's books. I do not know which were fixed in later editions of the books, the ones on sale now are a new printing.
