, it's more a question of how i want it to look. There must be a fair bit of female in me because i keep changing my mind about that..

Nothing wrong with thinking out a problem before you start ;), only worry when you change your mind half way through :facepalm2:.

Lots of interest from me too. Very interesting project!

but it will no doubt be slooooow progress due to other commitments.

No problem. Progress is progress. Even if it's only every other day.

I really wouldn't worry about how long it might take, I mean Lord of the Rings took three years to come out in the cinema, and most of us knew how it would end. This project, for me at least, is full of mystery and intrigue, and the end will be worth sitting through till.

Keep going, Hugh.

A quick update folks. I have not been in the workshop for the last month or so but managed to do a bit more at the clock.
The first pic shows the connecting lever from the motor to the mins cylinder has no been made, and the beval gears that will allow the time to be set.
Second pic shows the ajustable holder for the LED's unit in place.
Third pic shows the bar that will hold the fibres resting where it will eventualy be fitted, it has one fiber placed in it with the other end in a piece of black acrylic to give an idea of how the fibres will look on the finished clock face.

Cheers Dek. :old:

Hi Dek, haven't seen any progress on your clock.  I hope you haven't given up on it. It is such a unique
Clock and a beautiful made one, I would hate not to see it completed.
