These are expensive fish who just won't get on the hook if it's cheap.

Yuppie fish Mosey. I like worms and bobbers. Gives a man time to drink a beer or two :lolb: :lolb:

Many years ago I noticed my local fishing tackle shop had shark hooks in the window. Not sure why as it was miles from the sea in west London! I always fancied the idea of buying one of these hooks, which must have been three inches long, and tying a giant fly with it just for fun! Never got round to it but a nicely framed one would make a nice curiosity for visitors. Anyone care to do a "build log" for a giant fishing fly?!

Now that's a good idea Arbalest,  maybe one of our fly tiers would like to show how its done and in large scale it would be easier to follow. Have at it chaps and teach us how its done

Care in selection of suitable materials in scale may be needed but I think the result would be a nice novelty item.
I'd certainly like to give it a go if clear instructions can be provided.

Only problem may be choosing a pattern!

This Trout fly is nice.
