Beam Engine Identification
« on: January 31, 2023, 03:03:00 AM »
Can anyone identify this model beam engine?  I've never seen one made with these castings, and I have no information other than it was photographed at a show.
Cheers,
Harry

I think I have seen that one too, not sure it used castings, barstock job is more likely. Might be on David Carpenters site.

Nearest castings would be "Mary" but they are not as detailed and I think your picture was a larger engine

EDIT, Here you go, it was on David's site

This one

It first appeared at the Model Engineering Show in 2016.

Brilliant!  Thank you very much.  :praise2:  My photo was sent to me by a friend in Canada who thought I might be able to identify it (I could not), although the ultimate questions between us were "Castings or bar stock?", and then "Early engine flywheel rims - painted or bright?"
Cheers,
Harry
