Just a quick tip for you.
Make sure you have no backlash in the blower gears that mate the two rotating parts together, the clearances between the the two will be very small and any backlash will hammer them to pieces.
I cut some gear teeth on the blanks for a fellow model engineer who is building a blower Bentley engine, the accuracy had to be spot on.

Yeah buddy! Got it covered. I have set some very high standards for the blower parts. When I indicated in the blanks I wanted less than .001 difference. I got both to better than that. The gears should have no trouble keeping the rotors apart. I'm setup for round 2. The second blank is shimmed and indicated in. I would cut it right now but we are getting pounded with rain and with my luck the power would go out 10 minutes before it's done.

Well! It's official, I now have a pair.

They still need to be deburred and geared together so i can see how they run together. The fit seems very promising. I'm sure there will need to me some fine fitting with some fine grit sand paper.

We've seen some wanting to run and we've seen "runnahs", but we ain't ever seen none busting a blower and sticking some rods through the crankcase. Give her Hell, Bubba.  25 overdrive, on gas, with a good stiff alky back. On  a long lonesome hiway east of Omaha 8)

After 2 days of filing, dying, testing , and sanding, fitting, massageing, and tinkering, well you get the point. The rotors are fitted to the case. The rotors free spin and nothing touches nothing.

I have the new gear cover done. Just need to sand blast it and thread the holes.

Hi Steve,
Being following your build, amazing, is about all I can say. Not sure if its just me but all your photos have "Photobucket" "Look who's" popular" instead of those great photos, the moves seem OK. Have check on both a iPad & windoz machines, same issue.

Cheers Kerrin
