BB62 Battleship New Jersey Engine Room Model
« on: February 21, 2026, 12:04:21 AM »
Thought a few people on this forum might be interested in watching this video:

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSs5eOb6Guc" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSs5eOb6Guc</a>

The video describes the recently donated 1/48 scale cut-away model of an engine room in a Iowa battleship, specifically the New Jersey. The model was scratch-built by Myles Marcovitch and it's a superb!

The build article is also fascinating:

Right now I'm about a 1/3 of the way through the article.  All the CAD work will certainly make a few of the forum members warm and fuzzy and I also found all the information about 3D resin printing very interesting as I don't have one of those, just on old FDM printer.
