This has made the little engine look attractive, and it runs nicely, a nice addition to your collection.  Just a suggestion, would enhance the look if the un-proto-typical slotted screws on the bearing caps were replaced by studs and nuts ... Dave

Agreed - that's a good spot Dave; it sometimes needs a second, third, forth, fifth ...........pair of eyes to see these things!  :D.

Let me see what they are and what I have, atm, they could be Whitworth, BA or metric
Best regards

There we go ....... studs and nuts, looks a lot better; not sure what they were actually meant to be, but but 6BA fitted perfectly!

Looks good and runs nicely.
If I may also give a couple of 'notes', the slide bars could do also do with hex head screws, and the studs round the cylinder could be neater.
Studs look best with the lengths equalised, at a projection above the nut of about one thread or a little more.
The one at bottom right on the valve chest cover is about right. The ends would be slightly domed.

Yep all noted and let's see what can be done to poilsh it off - I'm guessing the previous or maybe even the original builder was a bit more 'carefree' with the finsh ;D

I'm running of nuts 'n' bolts on this engine, hopefully Santa will restock shortly

Slidebar cheesehead screws now changed, bearing caps tidied up and I'll take a look at the cylinder head bolts, I have trouble rounding the ends, but I guess in the lathe with a file maybe .......

Right .......I'm off to London to the Pantomime with the family.............. oh no you're not ..........
Best regards

Sanjay

Sanjay, another beautiful steam engine for your collection. I also like the green color.

Well done! 👍
