It looks great, I love the round valve chest, I haven't seen a model or actual engine with one before.....

The steam channels have been milled. A ring was manufactured to serve as the valve chest.

Using a complex CAD simulation ( Cardboard Aided Design ), I was able to determine that there was space for a slide valve.

When drilling the two steam intake channels, I again used my paper method. And it worked well again.

Finally, everything was assembled, and a few parts for the steam intake line and exhaust were fabricated.

That's has really come on a long way and looks fantastic; I love the use of the modern paper technology for your calculations, it puts AI to shame!

Oops... why does it smell like gas?

Oh no, everything's fine.

The rest of the gas tap was made of cast iron and has been in the Junkyard.

Today I made the piston and piston rod. Then I made the crosshead. The piston and piston rod are made of stainless steel, and the crosshead is made of cast iron.

For those with money and the space I saw this bottle engine for sale - no I'm not buying it, divorces are expensive
