Metropolitan Railway Electric Locomotive
mikemill:
The loco is complete, as there are two motors one for each bogie I have used a lead acid battery for extra power, the battery is located in the middle of the body and gives extra weight for good traction.
I would like to add sound but no idea how to make the sound of a Growler, any ideas.

A Stunning result (looks almost too new) and a fitting homage to one of the Electric Science early Pioneers :praise2: :praise2:

Zephyrin:
beautiful model of a very appealing loco, and at 2.5" gauge she makes an impressive model.
Roger B:
Very nicely done :praise2: At 2.5" gauge that must be quite a size and weight.

Thanks for the kind comments. The loco is 20in long and weighs 8Kg.
With metal bogie chassis, a 1mm steel plate under the footplate I was getting wheel slip, so I added a lead acid battery which adds extra weight, gives plenty of power and long running time. Now runs well
