the point with the 3d printed parts as models for casting is that I had to increase the size at the slicer, ( 103 % for alu & 105% for Zinc alloys) to cope with the metal retraction...as I don't like to modify the drawings.

I'll make sure to keep that in mind. The cylinders are oversize for machining; I just messed up on the first mold.

Tried a 3rd pour and it did not work out. I used petrobond for the 1st time and just didn't get it right. So I started machining the cylinders that I had with the original parts. So far so good. Used a tailstock mandrel to set the cylinder in the keets fixture.

Did some initial machining on one of the steam chests I pourd and I believe I'll be able to use them.

A couple more. I used a 3/8 four flute on the mill, after pre-drilling with a 7/32 and 1/2, for the procedure.
