Make a pulse jet engine 1958 plans

Colin Furze has made several fairly large sized versions on his YouTube channel.

Yeah there is also one called crazy rocket man. If I understand he use a mix of propane and diesel to cool combustion temperature.

After reading, I don't want to be bolt to early or deaf(or neighbours).

Well, at work we are thinking of adding two jets om each side of a small pitbike if only for looks.

I saw a video of JohnnyQ90 (recent one) similar size. Started quit easy with a simple foot air pump.

Well, let first finalize some other projects!

Yikes! I'm sticking with my little steam engines!   :paranoia:

Needs a side tube to Y in partway down the exhaust, to feed in the tennis balls...  Put one across the bay!

As a student I did a lab test on a Westlands pulse jet that would have been put on the tip of a helicopter rotor blade. The duct was about 5 feet long. It was terrifying. In addition to everything said it ran at around 100 Hz and resonated one's body cavity.

A basic problem with the pulse jet is that as the forward speed increases the inlet duct starts to resonate causing the thrust drops.

I never want to see another one but they are interesting.
