Greetings from China
« on: August 25, 2025, 12:47:51 PM »
Hello everyone, I'm Jude, and I'm from China.
There are actually many engine model enthusiasts in China, and I am one of them. Since China does not have a long history of engine development, most engines are produced by Western countries, but this does not diminish our passion. I have met some engine enthusiasts in China and have started making and replicating some interesting engine models, and I have even begun production. I am very familiar with them!
I am truly honored to have this platform to connect with more people who share my passion for engines. It’s truly a wonderful thing. At the same time, I’d love to hear your thoughts on how you view such enthusiasts in China?

 :hi: Jude,

We would like to hear more about the models you have made and your machine shop you are making your models in.

Model Engineering is very unusual in China. Actually it is increasingly rare in the West due to its high initial investment costs.

I have seen some impressive model engines built in China.
The problem I have seen on some forums is that these models are being produced on a commercial mass-production basis, for profit, not a hobby basis as is normally seen on this forum.
I personally don't want to see this forum go commercial, and I don't want to see advertisements for mass-produced engines.
This is an honest opinion of how I feel.
Welcome.

The forum's rules are very clear we do not accept commercial adverts from anyone  :hellno: or other self interested behaviour e.g. blatantly trying to encourage other members to bid on something they are trying to sell on Fleabay to force the price up  >:(.

Action has/will be taken against any violations and the offending posts are always removed  :Director:

In the mean time lets hope Jude is going to show us the engines he has made and let us see his workshop he has made them in  :)

Thank you very much for your warm welcome. I fully understand the significance of this forum. Therefore, I will abide by the rules of this discussion. I really enjoy seeing everyone share their experiences of making and sharing engine models. This is because I am also making and collecting some engine models myself.
In China, there are indeed some factories that produce and sell engine models, but they are also enthusiasts like me. They have visited many suppliers and overcome numerous challenges. This product is very small in scale, so many suppliers are unwilling to take on such business.
In any case, as a newcomer to this hobby, I may encounter many issues in the future. I hope the seniors here can offer more advice, so we can enjoy the process together and add more meaning to life. Thank you to everyone on the forum!

Lots of warm words but still no signs of the models you have made personally for yourself or your workshop.

But I noted that on your third post you offered to sell commercial models (post now deleted) so I am giving you a cooling off period (temporary ban) to get together some pictures of your models and home workshop. Please Email the Admins with these details and I will look to un-ban you.
