Also if it is just a simple job like drilling a PCD pattern or milling a round disc you need not draw it out in CAD and put it through CAM. Most of the operating systems have a "wizard" which is just a fill in much like entering a PCD into a DRO on your mill. Again you don't see any of the G-code for this.

Sorry did not get round to the weigh in yesterday as I was waiting for  alathe to be collected  by pallet Track.

Well the results are in, entries have neen checked and the Dog independant judge has confirmed the results.

3rd VT Steam with 7 1/2lbs or 3.41kg
2nd Casting Iron with 4 1/2lbs or 2.64kg
1st Diogenes (ME Forum) with 3.96Lbs or 1.8kg

Alibre's entry was not included but was close at 2.68Lbs or 1.22KG

The Kitchen scales have it at 1.235kg which is 2.72Lbs. So that is about 4kg or 9lbs of Swarf



Now I have got to do it twice again for a couple of my own, at least they are a bit smaller.
