I purchased this casting kit several years ago and completed building it but for some reason it sat in the workshop unfinished for quite a while. I finally decided to get back to it and see if I could get it to run. Long story short I got it to run but it still needs more fine tuning.

Yes they are a nice engine, a bit more adjustment will have it firing less frequently and coasting for longer. Sounds like the hit is a bit weak at the moment so not getting enough speed into the flywheels.
