This morning, another paddle steamer passed by. This time it was the paddle steamer "Kaiser Wilhelm" from Lauenburg, sailing up the Elbe to Dresden. The ship is 125 years old, and the boiler is heated by coal. I greeted the ship with a blast of the steam whistle.

Fantastic view you have! All I get are delivery trucks driving by...

Thanks Chris for the tip about the ship.
The paddle steamer is on its way to Dresden and will meet up with the other paddle steamers there. On Saturday, there will be a joint tour with the "Diesbar." I would have loved to have been there, but unfortunately, I don't have time to go.
