Hello from Somerset UK.
« on: May 20, 2025, 02:42:08 PM »
A rather belated good afternoon self introduction to you all.
I have dipped in and out of this forum over the last few years mainly to ask the experts for help, as I am not an engine builder myself. A few years ago I picked up the model engine hobby that I had to put  aside in my 20's as I built up my self employed furniture making business.
I later made specialist lighting, this is where I refound my interest in model engineering. I quickly found out working to any sort of tolerence is not as easy as it sometimes looks!
Having just about retired I now mostly collect and tinker with the engines I am fortunate enough to acquire.
I still have a mountain to learn with not enough time to learn it, and have to say the engineering side I do not find easy, but then I suppose that's the same for many here.
I currently have several projects on the go, one of which is decorating the kitchen, so not of interest here!
That said slowly I am restoring a c1900 EEC gas engine so will make a seperate post about that.
Cheers for now, Chris.

 :hi: Chris,

I have no idea what a c1900 EEC gas engine is but would love to see some pics of it  8)

If you know how to work in the brown stuff you should find metal a lot easier  ;)

It is the journey that matters, not the destination

Sometimes, it can be a long and winding road
