There were still two open holes on the cylinder that needed to be closed with drain valves.
I had to make these valves myself.
I had already made a conical tool and matching conical pins for other projects. It's not much fun building these little valves. (My store-bought supplies are exhausted.)
Anyway, the cylinder is now closed and only a few steps away from its first run.

Very nice, the drain cocks are in keeping with the oiler and the rest of the engine. I'm looking forward to seeing (and hearing) her run

Yes, Chris, wooden handles would look good too. I tried the dark brown wood, but it splits when turning.

Now the project is finished. Just one more steam pipe, a railing on the crank, and a strap for the ball regulator.

Beautiful, another fine job Michael well done. Looks and runs well - the black surface looks like a sheet glass!
