BCNU6OF1:
Hi all!
I live near Berkeley Springs WV. I was an automotive machinist many moons ago, in northern California, followed by becoming a piano tuner, teaching guitar, and now I'm mainly a high fantasy classical oil painter selling at various Renaissance Festivals.
I like older tools, so my lathe, horizontal mill, drill press, and tool and cutter grinder are all former line shaft equipment. The horizontal has a Bridgeport M head as well.
Anyway, I've built plenty of full size engines, made all sorts of parts for cars, etc, but I don't have much experience with model engines, aside from helping my old boss make parts(he had a Sopwith Camel, a tank, and a few other things). So I'll be reading a lot of the posts on here to learn. I'm definitely interested in steam, and locomotives. Oh, I built a couple of Elmer's engines with my stepdaughter last year, but nothing really impressive. Just stuff for her to learn how to do basic stuff on machines.
Enough of my blathering,
Jeff

Hi Jeff!
Welcome to the forum!
It would be fun to see pictures of your shop and your tools.
A lot of us have posted pictures of our shops & such in the "My Workshop" subforum. So if you're willing, we'd love to see some pics of your setup!
Kim

Hello Jeff, like Kim, I would be interested to see some pictures of your workshop set up, would interest many forum members I'm sure. Your CV that you mention is wonderfully varied! Some idea of the sort of paintings that you are doing would intrigue me - like myself, there are a few members who stray over to the art side in their other hobby involvements. Dave
