Pallet Jack needs wheels

<< < (2/4) > >>

Art K:
Yeah I had to change the wheels on the pallet jack at work, didn't have any trouble though.

uuu:
I've not tried drilling a roll pin - I always imagined that the springy material might be semi-hard - and the shape will grab the drill.  The protruding bit can already be spread out a little,  making it hard to press through, so grinding it off before pressing in a drift has worked for me.

Art K:
while I'm thinking of it, Have you tried a roll pin punch? The 1/4 inch one I use at work is McMaster's Part Number 3421A41. Keeps the punch centered while you wail on it!

kvom:
That's the first thing I tried, but the wheel mount moves so it's hard to get any force onto the pin.

ShopShoe:
I have run into "stuck" pins that were mushroomed on the end from someone previously trying to get them out with inappropriate tools.

Regarding, the mount moving: Is it possible to remove the caster so you can clamp it in a vise?
