Pallet Jack needs wheels

(1/4) > >>

I pulled out the pallet jack for the first time in a long while to move some equipment in my shop.  I was surprised to see the plastic tires on the front wheels peel off on both sides.  Who knew?

Luckily it seems replacements can be found on Amazon.

What sort of little engine will you add to the wheels to make it self propelled?   :stickpoke:

kvom:
It is self-propelled.  By my self.   8)

Love it when YouTube shows how to do the swap.

Nothing is ever easy.  The wheels are fixed with a roll pin that refuses to budge.  Thought about drilling it out, but with a handheld drill it's hard to keep it straight through.  I decided in the interim to just scrape off the remainder of the plastic "tires", and that allows the jack to work normally.  I think the solution may be to make a press out of a screw clamp.  I've owned the jack for 16+ years, and I bought it used.  So plenty of time for things to get pretty stuck.
