Jack:
Hello
This is how I made the CENTERING PLUG for my Rotary Table:

I chucked up a small crap of round and center drilled it then I put a Taper Center pointy end into it and put the tailstock into the other end and proceeded to set the compound so that it would match the degree of taper for a Morse Taper # 3.

I then chucked up a piece of Brass and drilled and reamed a hole of 1/2".

I then chucked up a piece of steel and turned it to .500 then I pressed the piece of Brass onto the steel and proceeded to turn the taper while still having the steel shaft in the lathe. I then parted it off. It fits nice and snug into the taper in the middle of the rotary table.

It was an easy morning project and I actually hit all of the dimensions and it fits good and looks great.

Thanks for Looking

Jack
