HV-6 rotary table - dividing plates

(1/2) > >>

redhouseluv:
I went to fix my new dividing plates to my rotary table which looked relatively simple, remove handle and fix plate using 3 hex bolts and to my surprise and disappointment there are no holes! Look at last image from a video - that's what I was hoping to see

I took the locking ring off as well, but there's no way of holding these plates - has anyone comes across this before or are there some other types of dividing plates? OR am I being a bit dumb? Not too keen to be drilling holes into the inner locking ring but...........

I'm sure where I bought them from will allow me to return them as they are unopened, but that doesn't resolve the problem!

In order to get the holes correctly spaced you'll need to mount the relevant component onto some kind of flat device that can be rotated with precision.

Wilf

redhouseluv:
If had to drill it I have a smaller rotary table I could use to rotate it, however, given the issue so far I would need to check the plate centre and spindle are the correct diameter otherwise its a non-starter.

Google tells me:

PCD: 32mm
Inside diameter: 21mm
Outside diameter: 100mm
Thickness: 7mm

Hmmm......

Jasonb:
You could spot them through, mine has quite generous clearance size holes and the screws are not exactly high quality.

redhouseluv:
Thanks, I was thinking that, let me check the spigot on the table is the correct size for the plates.
