I'll be there again!  Last year was a really great show with the feel of the early cabin fever shows where the exhibitors were the stars.  Great location, great people.  Maybe I'll manage to finish or at least get close enough to finished to bring some things to display.

While I am there from the west coast at the 2025 Indiana Model Engine Show, which Henery Ford museum should I visit?

The Henry Ford museum building complex is right next to the Greenfield  Village museum, same parking lot, so both! When I  went years ago they also ran busses over to let you tour the Rouge assembly plant where they were making pickup trucks.

Auburn Cord Duesenberg museum is right across the parking lot,  the early ford V8 , in New Haven is the 765 steam train (no cost) ,
My vote is for the Henry Ford,  not the village.....in Kalamazoo is the Gilmore auto museum,  a one of a kind place.

And don't forget our show is held in a world class museum

Stirlingkit has donated the steam plant & the hit & miss engine as seen on this poster. Come by, look them over,  grab a raffle ticket to win one of these engines

The Henry Ford museum and Greenfield site are amazing - I've been there a couple of times whilst working at Ford. So many cool things to see, but the HUGE loco can't fail to impress. One time I went there was the orignal GT40 unrestored
Best regards

Terrific video George! Thanks for posting it!
Was that your group of models with the road grader at about the 8 minute mark?

Thanks Chris and yes that was my grader and other models. Unless you dedicate time to taking videos once the spectators start arriving it's hard to get away from the table.

Thanks for the comprehensive video George. There were so many more engines and displays there than I have seen in the other video and photos posted on their Facebook page.
Good to see Don's Kansas City Lightning engine again, and I also noticed a Stickney Universal which you don't see many of.

I enjoyed the show.  It was my first time exhibiting since Covid.  The only negative was excessive water condensation in the air supply, but they promise that will be addressed next year.  There were very few empty tables, so I expect next year's show exhibitors will need to reserve their spaces early.

The basement of the museum was open this year, and there were a lot of vehicles to see down there.

I also took time on Sunday afternoon to visit the adjacent Cord/Duesenberg/Auburn museum.  It's very worthwhile, and needs more than the hour I had to see everything.  Indiana was a hotbed of automobile manufacturing in the early days.

I must say that showtime being moved before our anniversary enabled me to make it. George thanks for the video, you caught me firing up my Val first thing in the morning. It was a cool morning and Val was very cold blooded. I really enjoyed the weekend.

A most impressive model show, in quality, quantity and the variety of interesting exhibits.   Thanks for posting this walk-through video.  The large display of miniature traditional woodworking tools at the end was an unusual and appealing attraction.  Dave
