I have now started on the condenser parts  there are the two Bronze cast ends and the two Brass tube plates.  The cast end covers are faced off in the 4 jaw independent chuck. the castings are then filed to shape and the holes for the bolts are marked out and centre popped then the archemedes drill is used to accurately position the holes and enlarged to position the drill correctly. The achemedes drill is used to accurately position the hole by leaning it over slightly unlike the drill in the chuck that is fixed centraly upright.

I have made a perspex holder to drill the holes in the cover plates and then drilled through for the tube plates. these were bolted together and filed to size. the type plates will thence filled for the 1/4" copper tubes ...

I think a lot of work went into this component. And all those screws!

But you're making good progress.

Have now been machining the condenser casting to take the end caps ..this is achieved on the Myford and uses the screw cutting feed with the end calibrated feed screw to take off .004" at a time . the travel has a spring device to take up any slack in the feed screw to keep the feed tight.

Charles Lamont:
Using the leadscrew for depth of cut means you can't take advantage of use your power cross-feed for fly-cutting the face. If you had a micrometer depth stop you could. https://www.modelenginemaker.com/index.php/topic,11700.0.html post#7
