I find the non-ferrous ones will cut steel, if taking modest cuts.  They won't rip off metal at industrial rates.  Their sharpness is good for stainless - generates less heat than the relatively blunt ones.

The G one will work on all metals we are likely to use be that steel, Stainless steel, Drill rod or cast iron. Also if you have insert facemills then the nonferrous inserts for those will also work on all metals and put less load on the hobby mills.

I'm not sure of the US code numbers but I tend to use the 0.2mm corner radius ones most of the time but the 0.8mm (1/32") radius are quite nice if you want a fillet on a part that is meant to replicate a casting.

Okay, got the bore to .685". I think I will just stop here. The wall is getting thin. Final result is negligible taper of no more than .0001" to .0002" (larger at the tailstock end), if my measurements are correct with the telescoping bore gage.
The importance of this experiment    is that I have made a personal determination that the Taig is quite capable and accurate even with a somewhat larger steel cylinder such as the one I have turned.
Nevertheless, I still would like to reduce the speed for turning. Lapping the cylinder which would be required anyway would also need a much slower speed.

While Cowells are indeed lovely they are very rare (I've seen 2 in my life) in the US and Bear is in Idaho, USA.  I'm not aware of any Cowells dealer or importer on this side of the Atlantic...

Prazi is thin on the ground as well, but at least occasionally seen in the wild here :-)

Update: I found a lathe in the perfect size that I was looking for. It is not a Prazi. I recently purchased a used  Emco Maximat 7 lathe/mill combo. I am in the process of setting it up. Hoping to do some turning today.

Nice!  I believe that's the machinery that Kozo uses to make his wonderful steam engines in his apartment shop.
