I went ahead and rounded the cylinder, but first I made a practice piece just in case I turned the original into scrap.

It still lacks a steam fitting, but I don't have the correct tap drill for that.

As it turns out I do have the correct drill, stored with the tap and die of all places. I made the steam fitting and drilled the oil hole for the crank. Some how I missed that step. Here it is 100% complete this time.
