Zephyrin:
hats off to you for tackling this exciting project !

I never dared to make a clock, although I discovered J Wilding's books a long time ago, mainly ‘using the small lathe’ (Meridian Clocks publishing 1990). Despite the very poor quality B&W photos, it was a gold mine for a beginner like me at the time, and I had just acquired the same lathe, a Toyo ML210. I made a lot of the accessories described in the booklet, very much geared towards building clocks and pendulums...but also very useful for building steam engines and model making in general.

And it is said in the booklet that it is crucial to find the right quality of brass sheets (engraving brass) to cut the wheels cleanly.

This is going to be a very interesting thread to follow. It will be a challenge for sure, Kim, but I believe you will get it done!

Does it use a 15 amp or a 20 amp fuse E?

Looking forward to following along on this, Kim. That's going to be a beauty of clock.
